A native vine of ancient traditions that is little known and rather rare. The particular tannicity, together with other features, makes this wine suitable for long ageing both in wood and in the bottle. To obtain DOC status it must have at least three years of barrel ageing. The flavour is full-bodied, with roughness that becomes velvety as it matures. The best pairing is with fine meats and furred game.
