Between the municipality of La Morra and that of Barolo, facing fully south, lies the historic Brunate vineyard: a land of iconic, strongly characterised wines. For forty years, wine has been produced from the fruit of two extensive plots, located mainly near the colourful chapel decorated by Sol Lewitt and David Tremlett. From the very beginning, the aim has been to tell as directly as possible the features of a vineyard that is the mother of naturally seductive wines: Barolo delle Brunate, in fact, appears, from the very first bars, aromatically brazen and supple.
On the nose, it is a carnival of flowers, accompanied by ethereal accents, in the generous vintages, or by a range of citrus notes, in the fresher vintages. The wine is accompanied, in its youthful phase, by fruits that appear sweet and intact; the tannin can innervate the sip and restore tension, without detracting smoothness while tasting.
It is the evolution, then, that embellishes the picture, tinging everything with autumnal tones and puffs of smoke. There is an aura of pure hedonism that pervades the top of this hill.
