The hilly landscape of the area gives this Sauvignon an unmistakable style, characterised by a delicate balance of fruit and acidity. Marked in its youth by a supple structure enlivened by a certain turbulence, after several years of bottle ageing Sauvignon Blanc ‘Lafóa’ proves to be harmonious and balanced without losing its typical freshness. Description: intense fruity notes on the nose reminiscent of elderflower, acacia flowers and sage woven with elegant hints of wood. A wine with tasty acidity and a long finish. Ageing potential: 6-10 years
After a short maceration, the perfectly ripe grapes are pressed. The must ferments half in steel and the rest in barriques. Only the latter part undergoes malolactic fermentation. After about 8 months of maturation on the lees, the two wines are blended and carefully bottled.
