The vineyard of the Santissima Annunciata is located on Monte Orfano, as is the convent of the same name dating back to 1449. The friars who look after this mystical and spiritual place have chosen Bellavista to revive a unique vineyard whose traces date back to the beginning of the millennium. The total 5.45 hectares enjoy a Mediterranean climate and are characterised by two distinct parts and as many types of soils, above and below a tree bordering them. Two plots that obviously have specific care, separate harvests and different routes in the cellar, resulting in a small cuvée. The 100% Chardonnay must ferments in small 3-4 year old oak barrels. It then rests there for 12 months and at least a further 2 years in the bottle. The colour is brilliant straw yellow, the inviting, multifaceted aromas offer nuances of ancient rose and geranium, pineapple and apricot. On the palate, the wine is surprising, capable of combining ripe tones with an original mineral and acidic hint. Savory, fresh and long-lasting finish.
