This fine black tea comes from one of the world’s most famous gardens – the Margaret’s Hope plantation in the Kurseong Valley, also known as the ‘Valley of the White Orchids’, in the Darjeeling region. The plantation was given this name by its owner, who named it after his daughter Margaret, who died prematurely, wishing that one day he could see her again. It is an orthodox black tea, rich in tips made golden by processing. This tea is harvested in summer but, because of its latitude – about 2000 m – later than in other gardens in Darjeeling. The proximity to Camellia Assamica Sinensis plantations makes the tea particularly aromatic.
